Lisa Marie Bluder née Geske born April 16 1961 is the head coach of the Iowa Hawkeyes womens basketball. With 36 years of experience under her belt Bluder has made an undeniable mark in the world of women's college basketball. Her coaching career began at St. Ambrose University in 1984 where she led the team to two national championships and a 137-47 record.
A Winning Streak
In 2000 Bluder joined the Iowa Hawkeyes womens basketball program as an assistant coach and quickly rose through the ranks becoming head coach in 2004. Since then she has led the Hawkeyes to 15 NCAA Tournament appearances including four Sweet 16 appearances and two Elite Eight appearances. Bluder has been named Big Ten Coach of the Year four times and was inducted to the Iowa Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.
